Welcome every player back to our daily game news! “Apex Legends” announced yesterday that the number of players has exceeded 100 million. They would like to express their gratitude to the developers and stated that everything is just a beginning right now, and they will keep doing their best in the future. “Apex Legends” is a tactical competitive game developed by Respawn, the production team of “Titanfall”. It was released on February 5, 2019. Players will play in a single or a three-man squad against the others team until the last man standing.
But no longer ago, due to the low pick rate from Crypto in Season 8, Respawn Entertainment is considering a remake of Crypto’s skills in Season 9. Respawn Entertainment currently focus is on those characters that players do not show a lot of interest in, and this is why John Larson, the live-action balance developer of Apex Legends talked about it at the podcast. Apparently, the team is still thinking how they should remake Crypto right now to solve the low pick rate problem and at the same time to not make it overpower so massive amount of players always pick him right into the battle.
Meanwhile, According to Apex Legend Status, we can also found out that players are in love with Lifeline (14.3%), Bloodhound (14.3%), Wraith (12%), Octane (11.7%), Pathfinder (9.9%) and Bangalore (9.1%) mostly. From another side of view, this means the first 6 heroes in Apex Legends already takes place of almost 70% of the pick rate inside the game. Which could also mean that almost 70 million players always pick them out of 100 million players. Currently, the most pick rate is from Lifeline and Bloodhound, both are free heroes for a new account but still attracts the most players. This also explains why reviving your teammate without holding the button “E” is so useful and checking for footprints with Bloodhound’s skills is also perfect for a competitive game.
Other than that, except for the highest pick rate, we can also find out that Crypto, Rampart and Watson have the lowest pick rate in one day. Only 1.6% picked Crypto, 1.2% picked Rampart, and 1.1% picked Watson, but right now Respawn Entertainment only talked about remaking Crypto in Season 9 so there is not much news about are they remaking Rampart and Watson as well or not.
